The 14-Minute Gameplay Reveal, Minute by Minute

A timestamped breakdown of the official Fragmentary Order gameplay reveal: looting, breaching, recon drones, the danger-level warning, sniper duels, extraction and what happens when a RepEnt dies.

Updated · 4 sources

Short answer

The November 4 reveal is 14 minutes of in-engine play: a small squad scavenges a dump on Blue Mars, cracks a door, flies a recon drone, fights through scans and snipers, and heads for extraction. When one operator’s RepEnt goes down, the player is fine and asks the squad to grab the gear, which is the clone system in action.

The official feature list

Before the minute-by-minute, here is what the studio itself says the footage shows: large maps with changing environmental conditions, vehicles, drones, smart systems, and squad operations of up to four players. It is 14 minutes of in-engine footage, the first real look at play after the April trailer.

TimeWhat happens
1:00A squad picks through a scrapyard. "Just a bunch of junk, not really worth taking." Loot has a value judgment built in.
1:23"Wait, there's a door back there. Let me crack it." Doors can be breached or cracked.
2:02"I told you, always check the lockers." Containers hide the good loot.
2:22"I'm putting the drone up." First drone recon.
3:04A system voice reports "visibility above average", one of the changing conditions.
3:12"They're starting the scans." The other side has detection tools too.
3:51"Weapons free." The first firefight.
4:08System warning: "Profile danger level. Risk of imminent exposure."
5:02"Frag out", then smoke. Grenades and smoke are both in.
7:20"Scanning now. Whoa, hold up. New contact."
7:44"I need to patch up." Mid-fight healing.
7:54"Save some for the extract." "Loot later, keep moving, leave the body."
10:14A sniper "on the roof, by the antenna", then a counter-snipe.
10:43"Unstable connection."
11:43A system line mentions a "RepEnt chip detected."
11:51A downed player: "I'm still alive. Don't forget my gear though."
12:16Music outro.

What it tells us about the systems

The clone loop is real, not just lore. When the player at 11:51 goes down, he is still talking, worried about his gear rather than his life. That fits the official pitch: players run RepEnts, remotely operated clones, so "death is a business expense, risk is an investment, combat is labor." The "unstable connection" and "RepEnt chip" lines hint that the link to your clone is part of the HUD.

Extraction exists, but it isn't the point. The squad saves supplies "for the extract" and leaves loot behind to move faster. Nikita Buyanov told GamesBeat in April that the game has extraction mechanics but they won't be central, which is why he calls it "a next-generation combat simulator" instead of an extraction shooter.

Information is a weapon. Drones, scans, "new contact" callouts and the danger-level warning all appear within the first eight minutes. Expect recon to matter as much as aim.

The world reacts. The visibility readout lines up with the "changing environmental conditions" in the feature list, and the official promo stills all show heavy rain.

What the reveal did not show

  • Vehicles in use, even though the feature list names them.
  • The inventory screen, prices or a trader.
  • PvE enemies clearly separate from players. See PvE in Fragmentary Order.
  • Any space combat. Nikita said in April he wasn't yet sure it would be in.

Common questions

How long is the Fragmentary Order gameplay reveal?

14 minutes 23 seconds, posted on the official Fragmentary Order YouTube channel on November 4, 2026.

Is Fragmentary Order an extraction shooter?

It has extraction. The reveal’s squad talks about saving supplies “for the extract”, but Nikita Buyanov calls it a next-generation combat simulator and says extraction is not the center of it.

What happens when you die in Fragmentary Order?

You lose a RepEnt, a remotely operated clone, not yourself. The studio calls death “a business expense”. In the reveal, a downed player is still on comms asking squadmates to grab his gear.
