Short answer
Prime Batch is the paid early-access program for Fragmentary Order. Candidate costs $44.99 and gets alpha sessions and major playtests. Founder costs $79.99 and adds earlier builds, early roadmap access and a closed dev community. Both include the full game at release, and your COR3 rank lowers the price.

What Prime Batch is
Prime Batch is Rant Gaming's paid closed-testing program. It opened on November 4, 2026, right after the 14-minute gameplay reveal. Buying in gets you into the testing phases that run before the public launch, and, as the official Q&A confirmed a day later, a copy of the full game when it releases.
Two things make it different from a normal pre-order:
- It closes. It runs through pre-public development and, per the developers, "cannot be bought afterwards."
- It is a test. The first alpha wave is under NDA, so you are signing up to play rough builds and keep quiet about them.
Candidate vs Founder
| Candidate | Founder | |
|---|---|---|
| Price (US) | $44.99 | $79.99 |
| Full game at release | Yes | Yes |
| Alpha sessions | Yes | Yes |
| Major technical playtests | Yes | Yes |
| Rank designation | "Candidate" | "Founder" |
| In-game package | Exclusive, to be announced | Founder package, to be announced |
| Earlier experimental builds | — | Yes |
| Early roadmap visibility | — | Yes |
| Closed community with developers | — | Yes |
The Founder premium is $35. What it buys is time and access: you play builds before Candidates do, you see plans earlier, and you can talk to the team directly. You do not get more game.

Candidate, $44.99
You get alpha sessions, the major technical playtests and the full game at release. Founder only adds earlier builds, early roadmap access and the closed community, which you said you can skip.
How COR3 rank discounts work
Your rank on cor3.gg, the browser ARG that has been running since early 2026, lowers the Prime Batch price. That discount stacks with vouchers earned during the cor3.gg event. The exact percentage per rank has not been published, so check the final price on the official purchase page before paying.
Rank also matters beyond price. cor3.gg labels First Batch access per rank: low probability for Foundation, reserved for Pathfinder and Torchbearer, privileged for The Pillar and guaranteed for Forerunner. See COR3 ranks explained or run the rank checker.
Before you pay
If you are close to The Pillar, finishing it first can't hurt: it carries over and cor3.gg says it has no time limit.
The "$80 to see the roadmap" debate
Early roadmap visibility being a Founder perk drew some of the loudest pushback on launch day. Replies under the official X announcement argued that $80 to do testing work, with the roadmap behind the higher tier, was a lot to ask. On Reddit, some Tarkov players compared it with Escape from Tarkov's past premium editions.
Two clarifications calmed some of it down within a day. The Q&A confirmed both editions include the full game, so neither is a test-only purchase. It also said participants get rewards based on their rank.
Whether that is fair is your call. Our read: if you are sure you will play Fragmentary Order at launch, Candidate is effectively a pre-order with alpha access attached. Founder makes sense mainly if you want to influence the game while it is still being built.

Common questions
How much is Prime Batch?
Candidate is $44.99 and Founder is $79.99 (US prices from the November 4 announcement). A higher COR3 rank lowers the price, and the discount stacks with cor3.gg event vouchers.
Does Prime Batch include the full game?
Yes. The official Q&A on November 5 says Prime Batch includes the full release, and participants keep playing after launch.
What is the difference between Candidate and Founder?
Founder adds earlier experimental builds, early roadmap visibility, a Founder package and a closed community with direct developer access. Everything else is shared.
Can I buy Prime Batch later?
Only during pre-public development. The developers say it will not be available afterwards.
Does Prime Batch give a Steam key?
Nothing official says so. The game is published only on COR3, and no Steam version has been announced.
